Houses of parliament catering
In order to show that Parliament is "in this together" with the rest of the nation, I propose the closure of all bars in the Houses of parliament and the replacement of all catering facilities on the premises with Sandwich bars to be provided without subsidy to MPs.
Of course this will only save a few million pounds a year but it will help to foster/fake the illusion that the whole country is pulling together in this time of austerity.
