Easter Sunday Trading Laws
The petition of the Garden Centre Association, garden centre staff and garden centre customers.
Declares that they think the 1994 Sunday Trading Act, which says that retailers with 3,000 square feet of selling space cannot open on Easter Sunday, should not apply to garden centres.
The petitioners therefore requests that the House of Commons relaxes the current Easter Sunday trading law, allowing garden centres to trade according to normal Sunday trading hours.
