Non accident and emergency patients admitted to A&E depts.should pay for their treatment!
A high percentage of admissions are for self induced injuries ie: drunkeness and its causes,taking part in dangerous sports and the results of serious driving offences. Obviously these patients should be treated, but the cost of this treatment and care should be paid by the patient.
The Government need to put in place an invoicing system which would bring in much needed finance.
Many people rush in to A&E for minor treatment that they could deal with themselves ie: cuts abrasions etc.these people should be charged too!!
We need to keep the highly trained nurses's time for real accidents and emergencies !!
