Is it possible live on £53 per week?
Iain Duncan Smith has claimed he could live on £53 per week - the amount given to some benefit claimants.
The Work and Pensions Secretary said he could survive on £7.57 per day if he "had to", as he defended a raft of cuts to welfare payments coming into force today.
Should he prove it? Yes / No
He would be required to leave his home and get emergency housing (for a single person) from the council.
Apply at the Job Centre for a benefit and survive until they decided if he qualifies.
Apply for housing benefit and council tax benefit.
He must not receive help from family and friends and must live on the £53 for a minimum of 12 weeks, while looking for work.
