We the undersigned petition for Commonwealth Day to become an official bank holiday in the UK so it can gain the recognition of which it truly deserves.

On every second Monday in March Commonwealth day is marked by the Queen with a Multi-Faith service within Westminster Abbey and is dedicated to celebrating the cultural and economic links between the 54 Nations within the Commonwealth of Nations.

Each year it focuses on a different subject this year is was Opportunity though Enterprise and although this day has an official status the British Public remain unaware of its existence.
