All politicians - whatever their affiliation - to live the same standard of living as welfare claimants.

Additional Information

We the undersigned believe that, in order to encourage leaders to truly represent the British people and empatise with those on society's lowest rung all politicians henceforth:-
1. Must draw no salary and be entitled to no pension. The only benefit they should be entitled to is income-related JSA/Universal Credit, with full job-search conditionality attached.
2. Must be housed in the same estates, and in the same housing conditions, as welfare claimants.
3. Must not possess any form of wealth, or hold any other class of employment except those in socioeconomic class D and E.
4. Any breach of these provisions to result in a conviction for corruption and immediate loss of office plus imposition of a whole life tariff without benefit of parole. However, they may better their lot by improving welfare provisions.
