Petition Action

End the Bedroom Tax and build social housing giving people a choice to move into smaller homes

Additional Information

We the undersigned demand the government puts a STOP to the DWP's assault on low paid workers and benefit claimants via the 'Welfare Reform Bill including the Bedroom Tax'.

The people of this country both working, sick/disabled and unemployed are being financially attacked and vilified in the press as a direct result of government policies and ministerial statements to the media.
People who work hard, have paid tax and national insurance are, on a daily basis being accused of being scroungers.by government ministers. This must be stopped now.

.We demand the Bedroom tax is suspended until discussion can take place about the number of properties sold via 'Right to Buy Scheme' and funding for a rebuilding programme is found, ensuring a good social housing stock for future generations.
