Petition Action

Ban gagging orders in Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), the new organisations running local health services

Additional Information

More than 1,000 family doctors have been issued with gagging orders, banning them from talking about the work of new organisations running local health services.

These decisions were taken even though Jeremy Hunt said clauses preventing staff from speaking about patient safety should be banned. Therefore measures are needed to explicitly ban any such restrictions placed on staff, including any that already have been put in place.
