Pensions below £20k per annum should be tax free
To help ease the financial pressure on those who have worked hard and are now in receipt of a pension, whether Public or Private sector, such pensions should not have tax levied on them if they are less than £20,000 per annum.
This would help those in receipt of modest pensions
maintain a reasonable level of income and assist in paying for items such as domestic heating, which continues to increase in price as the value of pensions remains the same or falls.
