We Demand an Explanation From the BBC for Refusing to Play Judy Garland Song
Ben Cooper, Radio 1 Controller has decided not to play the song 'Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead" by Judy Garland in a clear deviation from the normal Top 40 Chart Show.
This decision has infuriated many, who believe that the decision has been made on political terms, under pressure from the Conservative Party.
We demand an apology and full explanation for this act, an act that would be expected in an undemocratic country, not in Britain.
