Petition Action

Say No to people in Wirral having to pay to have their brown bins emptied.

Additional Information

From June this year people in Wirral will have to pay to have their brown bins emptied.
The council is telling people they must "opt in" for the garden waste service or not have their brown bins emptied.
The new fee £35 per year will come into effect on in June.
Wirral Council are giving an "incentive" of a £5 discount on the yearly charge - £30 rather than £35 if you go online .

I for one have paid my council tax which has gone up this year anyway by 2% i will not stand by and let them take more of my hard earned cash on something i am already paying for.

Please sign this petition to convince Cllr Brian Kenny, Wirral council cabinet member for environment that wirral council should do a u turn on on the decision and scrap this bit of legislation .
