Allow UK citizens born in Scotland to vote in the Scottish independence referendum
I believe that Scottish people are being denied the right to have a say on the future of Scotland due to not currently residing within Scotland.
The independence referendum should be open to all 'Scottish' people who are UK citizens and were born in Scotland.
Currently there are 400,000 non Scottish voters allowed to vote in the referendum and 800,000 Scottish born voters who are not.
I was born, educated, lived, and until recently paid local tax there. I have generated wealth for Scotland and continue to do so but I am not Scottish enough to have a say on its future.
I ask the Government to review this situation.
