decriminalize cannabis possession and TAX the £8.8 Billion market
According to the CLEAR report [Independent Drug Monitoring Unit] the UK cannabis market is worth £8.8 billion.Tax and Decriminalize simple possession of up to one ounce of marijuana, instead making it a civil offense punishable by a fine. Criminal penalties for cultivation and distribution remain in place.
The proceeds of the TAX revenue should be spent on drug rehabilitation clinics, drug prevention education and victims of crime relating to harder drugs.
