Aspergers Support Glasgow South
Additional Learning Support is required in St Vincents Primary, Glasgow G46 8EQ immediately.
Children with confirmed Aspergers have no support resulting in the parents being called to the school to sit with their children. The Education Scotland Act (ASL) 2009 is structured around the concept of support being needed for any reason, and for short or long term periods determined by the individual learning needs of the child or young person.
Failure to do this may fall under the Disability Discrimination Act. This is known as the reasonable adjustments duty: Not to treat disabled pupils less favourably and to take reasonable steps to avoid putting disabled pupils at a substantial disadvantage.
