Election of Judges

Additional Information

It is an anachronism that in our democracy that whilst politicians are voted for and can be removed by the people, the Judiciary of the UK are not accountable to anyone and hold their positions for life. Following an increasing number of perverse decisions where Judges are attempting to formulate the Law rather than apply it, this petition proposes that ALL judges not just minor members of the judiciary should be elected for a fixed period of 5-years by the electorate.
