If someone is ill and claiming benefits but is a carer, don't stop the carer's benefit
If someone is claiming, say for example, ESA and they are caring for an elderly relative, the DWP should not stop the benefit of the carer.
Some carers cannot even claim Carer's Allowance because the person they are caring for is only in receipt of State Pension. What do the Government expect the carer to live on?
At the end of the day, carers save this country millions of pounds and as such, they should not be penalised by having their benefit stopped.
The government should realise that the carer is not well themselves and neither is the person that they are caring for.
