Winston Churchill Statue on the White Cliffs of Dover
Winston Churchill was an inspirational wartime leader who helped keep this country safe at a time of threatened invasion during the Battle of Britain.
There should be a large statue of him, visible from the English Channel, constructed on the White Cliffs of Dover as a lasting memorial to this and also the successful and heroic evacuation of allied soldiers from Dunkirk in 1940.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Statues and memorials are generally private initiatives and require the permission of the local Authority.
