SATS tests are for schools and not for the benefit of our children
Schools are putting un-necessary pressure on our kids - putting them in untenable positions by pushing them to sit the tests even when they are ill.
Examples include headmasters volunteering to collect poorly kids from home so they can sit the exams and others creating isolation exam rooms for kids with sickness & diarrhoea bugs to sit together.
Schools are the ones who benefit from the statistics of how many sit the tests and their results, and not our children - who are often re-assessed once they go to high school.
Why are we putting our kids through this when it is clearly all about funding and league tables for schools and not for the individual benefit of our future generations.
Please sign this petition if you agree that SATS at 11 are putting too much pressure on our kids.
