Enabling Ministry of Defence to respond to threats to life outside of barracks
In light of recent sad events in Woolwich where a serving member of the forces was attacked and killed, that the Ministry of Defence should be allowed to have armed guards at their barracks and that those armed guards be allowed to respond to threats in conjunction with local police at any threat to life is detected or potential terrorist threat is discovered with 1 mile of the barracks or an agreed distance to be determined.
This would deter potential terrorist attackers from viewing barracks as soft targets.
