The rspca use cruel means to control the numbers of stray cats and dogs in Britain.
They round up the strays, and in a large number of cases (if a dog dares to growl or if a cat is black) they are executed with a bullet or bolt to the head. Quick, efficient and extremely inexpensive, unlike the more humane forms of euthenasia(still morally reprehensible) which must cost upwards of a couple of pounds.
