No work on the Thatcher Museum until MOSI, NRM and Media Museum are safe
No work should be allowed on the proposed Museum and Library dedicated to Margret Thatcher until the futures of Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry, York (and Shildon's) National Rail Museum, and Bradford's National Media Museum are secured.
It is despicable that while government policies has led to the danger of the cultural and tourist hearts of three Northern cities being ripped out, that Cameron backs another London museum. The role that these three museums have not only as tourist and cultural centers, but as places to education the next generation about this country's history is far more valuable than the Thatcher Museum.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Thatcher project is privately-funded, not by the Government. There are other e-petitions about museum funding.
