NO 'Margaret Thatcher Library and Museum'.
NO TAXPAYER'S MONEY TO BE SPENT ON THIS VANITY PROJECT.
It has been suggested that due to 'austerity', several leading and significant museums might have to close.
It is therefore morally and financially irresponsible (and not a little hypocritical ) to propose a taxpayer-funded mausoleum in honour of Margaret Thatcher.
Should anybody want this edifice, destined to be dressed up as 'Margaret Thatcher Memorial Library and Museum', they should raise monies privately and not assume it will be taxpayer-funded to the tune of £15 million (and the rest...).
This, like Margaret Thatcher's funeral, is a thinly-veiled piece of tory propaganda, and is of little interest to further the causes of education and society.
Furthermore this is the type of 'museum' you will find in PyongYang. ...do you wish Britain to follow in North Korea's footsteps?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It is to be privately funded.
