A statue/memorial of Ian Banks in Scotland
Ian Banks sadly passed away on 9/06/13. He was undisputedly one of the greatest modern Scottish & British writers of this century & last. He died with great dignity in his illness & leaves a huge legacy as a great novelist, wit & humanist.
The Government should remember the great artist that was Ian Banks, by building an inspirational permanent memorial of Ian in his place of birth, Dunfermline or in a central location in Scotland, where he can be remembered & inspire future generations.
