Nominate Tim Haries for a Turner Prize
Nominate Tim Haries for a Turner Prize.
On June 13th 2013 Tim Haries performed an act of "social practice" in utilizing the platform of contemporary art criticism to bring attention to the political plight of single fathers.
By defacing a painting of the Queen in Westminster Abbey titled "The Coronation Theatre, Westminster Abbey: A Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II" Haries has entered the vanguard of contemporary British artists whose work in "relational aesthetics" and social engagement brings a broader attention to political actions through contemporary art.
For this reason we, the signers of the petition, call on those in power to nominate Tim Haries for a Turner prize.
