To regulate the practice of Under 16's body piercing - written consent required

Parental consent must be gained in writing on a 'Consent' form prior to any body piercing on a child or young person under the age of 16 years.

The Consent form must be completed in the presence of the parent, the fully trained piercer and the young person.

All relevant health, hygiene and care information must be provided to both the young person and parent.
