A Damehood For Virginia Wade
Virginia Wade has made an enormous contribution to British tennis, and was the last Briton before Andy Murray to win a singles title at Wimbledon.
In line with the knighthoods given to some of the Olympic Gold medal winners, it is time that Ms Wade's contribution was recognised by appointing her a Dame in the New Year's Honours List.
