politicians pay linked to growth or recession in economy

Additional Information

Many of the current class of politicians being of independant means have no stake in the economic life of normal people. This disconnect could be made more apparent by linking their pay to the economy such that growth in the economy leads to an associated payrise but equally a recession results in a pay cut. Flat line growth = flat line pay.

Second/third or fourth jobs should cease for the term of office to prevent insulation from this reality!
