Petition Action

Removal of compulsory vehicle insurance

Additional Information

To remove the compulsory requirement to insure your vehicle.
To increase the charge for an MOT to £150 this would break down into £50 MOT fee and £100 public liability insurance that would cover the driver in the event of causing personal injury.
This insurance would be underwritting by the government
The insurance of the vehicle to cover collateral damage (damage to other vehicles and property)would become optional.
This would ensure insurance companies offered realistic premiums
