E-petitions to have an option to sign AGAINST the position of the petition
Petitions are an excellent way to express the views of those who agree with the idea being expressed by the petition.
The views of those opposed however do not have the opportunity to register their opposition, and therefore participate democratically in what is being proposed.
We therefore requests that each petition includes an option to oppose the proposition and give a truer indication of the public's opinions.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
