Petition Action

Make it a criminal offence for police organisations to use the Human Rights Act to prevent investigation of its own failures.

Additional Information

We are now being told that SOCA is using the Human Rights Act to prevent disclosure of criminal activity by organisations and individuals over phone hacking because it wants to prevent disclosure of its own failure properly to investigate those organisations and individuals. Just how much illegal activity by SOCA are we prepared to accept before they are shut down and the senior managers charged with misappropriation of public funds (their salaries taken while they were NOT doing their jobs) for starters.
