The aim of this petition is to help ban the use of dental amalgam fillings in dentistry in the UK. In dentistry, amalgam is an alloy of mercury with various metals used for dental fillings. There is a concern about the toxicity of mercury and its effect on people’s health, which can be detrimental and possibly fatal.
