Petition Action

that spelling & grammar be taught in schools and Sugata Mitra be sacked

Additional Information

a recent statemen by Sugata Mitra (prof ed newcastle) stated that teaching spelling is not needed. An opinion poll shows 97% disagree with this. As a paediatrician, who has worked & taught in 10 countries i am very concious about UK's poor teaching of english & mathematics - Chinese road signs have correct, grammatical english and most educated Chinese speak english well & are highly numerate, surely we can do better.
