A level grades in England should be modified to reflect teacher assessed grades
The government should award grades in line with those given by teachers as has been done in Scotland to reflect teacher expertise and their knowledge of their students rather than an algorithm.
This should be done in order to achieve parity with Scotland and so that students feel that their results are meaningful and a reflection of their efforts and so that they are not disadvantaged in future life by low or meaningless grades.
