Reinstate Crisis Loans
The government appear to think that crisis loans no longer being available is a good thing, in return local authorities are being pushed to support their communities.
However, I can assure you that this current system has many flaws, I currently have not eaten for 8 days, i have worked all my life paying taxes and national insurance, I have been declined help and support from the job centre and local housing. They advised me if i would like a little top up on my prepayment meters, i would need to walk 15 miles to the only local housing centre that do this.
How are people meant to find work when theres people suffering extreme hardship and using the time to find ways to put food on the table in the short-term when they should be looking for work in the long-term.
People will never understand until they have been in the situation themselves. I for one, know that.
