Legislate telecommunications infrastructure during planning of new builds
With the increasing need for high speed Internet, how can it be that new build estates have no legal obligation to put infrastructure in place to support this.
It seems there is funding to develop high speed Internet, yet at the perfect opportunity to out infrastructure in place, nobody takes responsibility.
Can legislation be put in place that at planning contractors, councils and telecommunications companies put in the best possible infrastructure. It seems ridiculous to come back and need to upgrade again in 5 years and offer broadband akin to the 1980's in many new build areas.
