Each Team GB athlete to wear a rainbow badge on their outfit at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi
It may be too late and too complicated to fully boycott the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia despite the anti-gay laws that the country has recently adopted.
However this does not mean that Great Britain should ignore the atrocious crimes against humanity that are currently being perpetrated against innocent people there.
This petition urges both the UK Government and Team GB to work together and show unity against this oppression by including a small but visible rainbow badge (the adopted emblem of the LGBT community) on each athlete's uniform.
We would also encourage all other nations competing in these Winter Olympics to do the same.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for the BOA, not the government.
