Fare taxes for all
Fares are rising faster than inflation, for many travelling to work eats up 20% or more of monthly salary, so its time to make a stand.
Travel costs should be deducted before Income Tax and NI. It is a necessary expense and for self employed people does not count as earnings. It is simple maths so here is an example.
annual salary: £25,000
after tax & NI: £19,817
travel costs: £3,600
total take home: £16,217
with a FARE TAX SYSTEM
annual salary: £25,000
travel costs £3,600,
paying tax and NI on remaing £21,400
total take home pay: £17,369.
simple maths show you would be £1152 a year better off, still be working
SO PLEASE SIGN THIS AND PETITION THE GOVERNMENT FOR A TAX SYSTEM THAT IS FAIR AND SUPPORTS PEOPLE TO WORK.
