change law so adults that assault a child causing even bruising r arrested immediately & severe punishment is awarded even if first offence
my 8 year old daughter was physically assaulted. it took police 13 hours before they came out. they took offenders version who admitted that her actions caused my daughters injury her version did not match my daughters injurys and were witnesses that weren't even spoken to. gave a restorative justice sheet as punishment, asked us to sign that sheet even though it hadn't been filled out. so my child suffered injury at hands of an adult and basically got away with it! the law needs to change as this may save childrens lives if an adult is instantly arrested and more severe punishment issued and counselling instantly offered to children as my daughter just basically offered no help!! the lady lives near us and so my daughter has to face her and live with the mental scars as well as physical!
