Syria - Reasoned Consideration needed prior to response to Chemical Weapons Attack
We petition you to consider the following prior to making a decision on the above, especially in the light of this nation’s pre-action process up to the decision to launch the attack on Iraq:
1. What unambiguous evidence is there that the Syrian government itself (as opposed to any factions, opponents or others) is responsible for the horrendous chemical weapons attack on Syrian civilians?
2. Assuming that there is such unambiguous evidence: What do you suppose would be consequence, in both the short and longer terms, of any military-based response by/in the name of our government/country to that attack?
3. Assuming that there would be such (a) consequence(s): What fully-thought-through and effective plans has/would our government put in place to mitigate that/those consequence(s), in particular consequences that may affect the citizens of UK?
4. How does a thorough assessment of 2+3, above stack up against the duty of our UK government to keep its own people safe?
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
