Defer all brownfield development in favour of greenfield
We are beginning to realise that some of our rarest plants and insects can thrive on brownfield sites.
In fact, the agricultural landscape is a chemical soaked desert in comparison.
If the government is serious about protecting our natural heritage, it should now designate the best brownfield sites, especially along the Thames Gateway, where many sites are threatened with destruction.
