Delay military action in Syria until UN gives a clear mandate
We must wait for the full and conclusive report of UN weapons inspectors to tell us the following :
1) Were chemical weapons used ?
2) Who used them ?
Once these two facts have been established without reasonable doubt, then they should be provided to the UN, where a proper legal debate and resolution be made as to what if any specific action should be taken against those responsible.
The UK Government has done very little over the past 3 years and should do nothing until it has unanimous UN resolutions.
This localised conflict has the capability to easily turn into a world war, where millions could die needlessly. Surely its best for the UK government to go through international law and use the security council institutions the way they were intended.
