Petition Action

Stop immigrants without a British citizenship voting in the general election.

Additional Information

Plans for over 1,000,000 NON-British commonwealth residents are to be completed for them to vote in the general election. British citizens cannot vote in any other commonwealth nation, accept for a few Caribbean states.

Even students who only come to Britain to study for six months will be given the voting rights as long term residents if this plan goes ahead.

ONLY British citizens, including duel citizens should be able to vote in the 2015 British general election and later ones.

'This could lead to people who are not even British having a huge influence in a close vote.' -Sir Andrew Green, Migration Watch's chairman.

This petition calls for the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to legally apply election rights to British citizens, duals included.
