Petition Action

Change the department of educations new legislation on taking children out of school in term time.

Additional Information

The department of education have now removed the head teachers power to grant family holidays in term time. Most regular working families cannot afford the extra 600 pounds + that holiday companies put on holidays out of term time and others are restricted by their employers. The government need to look seriously at this and either regulate the travel operators so they cannot Inflate their prices ridiculously or grant head teachers the permission to give 1 weeks holiday to those children who have good attendance and as long as it doesn't interfere with primary school SATS.
