Petition Action

Birmingham Met College Must Not Ban The Niqab

Additional Information

Birmingham Met College has decided to ban students form wearing hats, hoodies and face veils (the Niqab). Dame Christine Braddock DBE the principal of Birmingham Met College has claimed that banning these items of clothing are to enable the faces of students to be visible for identification and security. Since hats, caps and hoodies do not cover the face, this is clearly an attempt to discriminate against Muslim women who wish to practices their faith in this way.

This discriminatory policy must me stopped so please add your name to the petition to reverse this decision.

Thank you.
