UK Government should accept teachers predicted grades for student results.
We want to the government to reverse their failed triple lock that has unfairly punished students.
Trust teachers as professionals in their field and accept the grades they have allocated to GCSE and A Level students. Mock results as an appeal process is redundant. Follow Scotland’s example
Teachers and students have worked incredibly hard for these students and by simply writing off results you are disproportionately harming students that come from less wealthy areas. Scotland made the U turn. You should do the same. If you think not making the change puts the UK in a better position then this government is once again failing the country. English and Scottish students who have worked equally hard will be competing for the same university places and all you have done is fail them.
