Revoke Ofqual moderation downgrading in A levels restoring teacher predictions
As of today's news, 39.1% of pupils' grades have been downgraded in England following "moderation". The government should follow Scotland's lead and revoke this moderation, restoring pupils' grades to teacher predictions.
We need this to be revoked because Ofqual's algorithm has lead to appalling discrimination, particularly against those in inner-city schools exacerbating the post code lottery. The teacher predictions are a better reflection of how students would have performed in exams had they been able to sit them.
