Give 2020 A-Level and GCSE students their centre assessment grades
In line with the decision from the Scottish government the English government need to allow students to have their original centre assessment grades as their final grades. Teachers painstakingly chose grades for their students that they felt were fair and should be respected by the government.
Up to 40% of A-Level grades for 2020 students have been unfairly downgraded this year due to a system used to adjust teachers professional assessment of their students. A decision that has been backtracked by the Scottish government after it left many students without a university place. This approach also needs to be emulated by the English government to ensure many hard working A-Level and GCSE students get the grades they deserve and are able to move on to the next stage of their education.
