Illegal migrants that travel to the UK from EC shouldn't be allowed asylum.

Migrants should claim asylum in the first free country they reach. Therefore any migrant who has reached the UK from any free country should have any claim for asylum automatically rejected.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Under international law, it is legal for a person to apply for asylum in any country that has signed the 1951 Geneva Convention and to remain there until the authorities have assessed their claim. There is no requirement under the UN Refugee Convention for asylum seekers to claim in the first country they arrive in.

There is currently a mechanism in place under the Dublin Regulation to apply for a transfer in some cases, if someone makes an asylum claim but has already passed through an EU country, although these arrangements will cease to apply to the UK after the transition period.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
