Find a solution for private candidates that need to go to university this year
Private candidates or people that need to take the autumn series exams might not be able to start uni in September depending on their university, the government didn’t consider us when making the decision to cancel exams, so they must now come up with a solution that does not delay anyone’s life.
Exams were cancelled in May and no solution was given for private candidates, and now we are being disregarded as it’s up to university’s discretion.
A solution must be given the that won’t delay or disrupt our lives.
And if we do get into university, how does one take on the university workload and study for A-level exams?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand that you want private candidates, such as home-schooled children, to be given A-level grades however you don't specify how you think this should happen.
As happens in normal times, private candidates wanting to be considered for a GCSE or A-level have to register with an assessment centre. These centres have been given guidance on what evidence they can consider, in the absence of exam results, when calculating grades for private candidates.
You could start a petition calling for a review of how private candidates' education is assessed and how their university prospects are being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, if that is something you would like to happen.
