Petition Details

The Government should start a public awareness campaign addressing eating disorders, their incidence and where to access help. This is to raise awareness and reach out to those suffering from eating disorders and provide the support they need.

Additional Information

Far too much media and advertising, such as diet adverts, can have a negative impact on those suffering from eating disorders, and increase the incidence of these disorders.

During COVID support for people suffering from eating disorders has declined, making it harder for those suffering in the community. A public awareness campaign raising awareness and advertising support should help make sure people receive the support they need.
